Show-Low Arizona is perfect for camping with many RV resorts up here. The weather is a little hotter than Flagstaff but you have a few day trips around a hour from you. In Show-Low you can go to Fools Hollow lake but be warned the lake is half empty. Fun fact there is secret town buried under the water. You can fish,hike, and paddle board but no boating. About a hour North is Petrified Forest National Park. I recommend going in the fall since it was really hot in August. After leaving the park you can head over to Holbrook where Route 66 is , and they have the Wigwam hotel with the old vintage cars.
